Internal resonator sonic characteristics by wood choice

Though all resonators will play any and all music genres well, there are some nuances specific to the tonewoods used.

Standard Options:

Italian Poplar - Amazing sonics overall

African Bubinga - High-strength tonewood; the choice for high-energy music such as rock, techno, and even big symphonic music

American Swamp Ash - Like Poplar with slightly softer midrange

Other woods available at additional cost:

Vintage Sitka Spruce - The ultimate resonator for acoustic strings, jazz brass, double-bass, etc;

amazing vocals, folk to opera, with three-dimensional detail.

Alaska Sitka Spruce - Similar to vintage, only with slightly crisper tone, with excellent timbre. Add $275 (inc GST)

Vintage Spanish Cedar - Possibly as good as or even better than Spruce for acoustic string reproduction;

excellent vocals overall; not quite as "sweet" as Sitka Spruce for vocal reproduction. Add $275 (inc GST)

Vintage Port Orford White Cedar - Sounds much the same as Spanish Cedar; a prized species from a

limited area of the Pacific Coast; also a tribal wood of northwest Indian culture used in instruments,

totems and sacred masks. Add $385 (inc GST)
